Lighting

~ front ~

~ right ~

A crystal was chosen as to show the shadow and glitter effects it gives. The front lighting gave it a powerful effect of bringing it to be ‘the one’. The lighting from the right (one third rule) will extend and extort the shadow, maximizing the length.

The Decisive Moment

~ e butterfly ~

The butterfly was captured in the rule of third and triangle rule. “The decisive moment” came just in time, fluttering, snatching to be the lead model of the shot.

~ dog ~

The dog, man (middle) and stranger (right at e back on the bench) was to show a triangle formation n a directional shot. The decisive moment lead is the dog which appears running towards the owner when the man was passing by at e front.

~ snatch! ~

~ attack! ~

Canoe polo was exciting as it is from the actions captured. Both ‘snatch!’ and ‘attack!’ are taken in a half composition, separating the water and the players, also to show the competition of the way the motion of the water and the arms.

This is ME!

~Childhood~

HDB flats as the backdrop, playground as the main theme; colours as the life, sitting on the slide: This is ME, as the typical girl next door.

Shot using "rule of thirds", "triangle rule" & "depth of field".

~ME~

With this angle, another side of my story is expressed by the way I am postured & the camera positioned.

Using "rule of thirds" & "depth of field", blurring out the foreground blue & yellow "frame" tells that this is taken from something alike a peep-hole.

Extraordinary Out of e Ordinary- Architecture: Esplanade

DAY

Entrance (day)

This "not-so-Esplanade" shot is captured to show that the "durian shells" not necessarily need to be whole, to tell people this art theatre is Singapore's.

Cropped into a quadrant each gives a different view that not always the 2 half durian shells are always the freshest!

Interior (day)

Frame within a frame gives a depth within a depth at the same time. This interior entrance to the Esplanade shopping paradise gives a welcoming effect of warm lighting and of course the way it is structured gives it a grand welcome.

NIGHT

Entrance (night)

Chosen to take this night shot at a later time, to want to expose the busy city night to a starry glittering sky. The exterior compared to the DAY shot exposed the life inside through the glass with inviting lights, glittering away like stars up in the sky.

It is also the time when night comes to life.

Interior (night)

A little dull because of the night falling right on the top left and right corners, but livelier than the day with activities happening, it is still however welcoming no matter what. The blue mysterious lights draw attention away from the warm lighting further into the heart of the "durians".
